AXA Matrix Engineering Expansion Update!
April 2010

The Matrix office in Shanghai, China is very successful in writing and servicing new unbundled business and extending HPR engineering to our existing and new clients in the area. We now have 6 engineers servicing the Risk Engineering needs in the area, with great reviews from clients on our quality and consistency. Our impairment handling services are now up and running 24 hours a day.

The Matrix office in Bangalore, India now has two engineers and a business development manager. This office which opened in August of 2008 continues to solidify itself as a quality source of engineering services in the region.

Our Mexican and Latin American services are gaining ground since we signed an Exclusive Representative Agreement with Ariel Moreno, CEO of AMINTREC, headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico. Ariel and his team of experienced property engineers are already providing services to Matrix clients in local language throughout Mexico and Latin America. By the end of 2010, Ariel and his engineering staff will become Matrix employees, and Ariel will be managing and expanding our operations throughout this growing region.

Plans for the office in Brazil are still ongoing with services to be provided out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This expansion has slowed somewhat from our initial projections, but we continue to service the region with one engineer from our office in Paris. We still plan to provide local language and service in 2010.

Last year we added a total of 12 new engineers to our global staff, with a combination of new and experienced engineers. We recently completed the last of three phases of our new Global Risk Engineering Training program. This comprehensive program was developed by a combination of Matrix and AXA engineers, with base modules conducted in the US where engineers came from around the world to train along side our existing engineers. Trainees completed self study courses plus 5 weeks of intensive classroom sessions held at Eastern Kentucky University, Underwriters Laboratories, the Matrix office in Miamisburg, Ohio and the AXA offices in Paris France, followed by field training in the US. In between sessions in the US, trainees returned to their home countries to train along side experienced AXA Matrix engineers in the region. We appreciate our client’s excitement in helping us introduce these fine young engineers.

We now have a global engineering staff of over 115 engineers located in our offices in the US, France, the UK, Italy, Germany, India, Spain and China, as well as 3 covering the Mexican and Latin American regions through AMINTREC. Our plan is to have 150 engineers by 2012!.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality, consistent and seamless engineering services in local language around the world!!

October 2009

2009 has been a landmark year for our global expansion.

We started the year off by opening the Matrix office in Shanghai, China early in the second quarter. As of October, we now have 4 engineers working there! Congrats to the Matrix Shanghai office which is already growing and filling client needs in the region.

August was a banner month for our expansion efforts. We opened our Matrix office in Bangalore, India where we currently have one engineer along with engineering support from our Business Development Manager. Another engineer is slated for hire before year end.

Not to rest on what we’ve already accomplished, we are planning to open the Matrix office in Sao Paulo, Brazil in the first quarter of 2010.

Combined with the current Matrix/AXA CSS offices already in operation in France, UK, Italy, Germany, Madrid and Singapore, we currently have over 100 engineers.

Next stop, 150 engineers by 2012--- to cost effectively serve our clients in local language around the world!!
